Foy Tanis Cowart, aka "Few," Black Male, Date of Birth 09/12/1981, last known address is in Norfolk, Virginia, but does frequent the Outer Banks

Is seeking your assistance in solving the following crimes:

(1) On 5/2/08 the breaking and entering on a residence was reported on Bayview Dr. in Stumpy Point. Entry into the house was through a rear window. Nothing appeared to be taken from the house. Some damage to vehicles in the yard, broken windows, is believed to have occurred at the same time.

(2) On 5/2/08 a kiteboard and associated equipment was stolen from a residence on HW 12 in Avon. The board is a silver HD was taken from under the dwelling: value of stolen equipment is $2-3,000.00.

(3) Larceny of a pool pump was reported 5/3/08 from a storage shed on Colony Ct. in Salvo. The pump was a super hyward and valued at approx. $600.00.

(4) On 4/3/08 a quantity of prescription medicine (oxycodine) was stolen from a bedroom dresser in a residence on Hwy 12 in Buxton. Entry into the house was through an unlocked door.

(5) On 4/3/08 someone entered a residence on Old Church Rd. in Wanchese and stole prescription medicine (hydrocodone) and a check for $100.00. The doors were locked with no signs of forced entry.

(6) On 4/3/08 a craftsman nail gun that was left outside was stolen from the front yard of a residence on Toler Rd. in Roanoke Island. The nail gun is a framing gun, red and black in color.

(7) Investigators are working the larceny of power tools from a residence on Ocean St. in Salvo. The tools were taken from a utility room under the house on some prior date. Stolen was a red Milwaukee saw zaw, red Milwaukee ½ inch. corded drill, black and silver portable circular saw, Black and Decker screw gun, black and silver portable belt sander, black and green Delta miter box, and a yellow open reel surf fishing rod. Information about this larceny should be reported to the Sheriff’s Office.

(8) Sometime between 3/7/08 and 3/11/08 at a construction site in Manteo, Croatan Woods’s development, a locked supply trailer was entered and tools were stolen. A Stihl chainsaw, power cords and a Subaru 6100 watt generator were taken. Investigation is continuing. Any information should be reported to the Sheriff’s Office or to Crime line.

(9) Breaking, Entering and Larceny of property valued at approximately $100,000 from a residence in the Oaks, Manteo on 10/21/07 .  Stolen: 4 pistols, (1) Ruger.22 magnum handgun, (1) High Standard target pistol, (1) Dan Wesson .22 revolver and (1) Colt New Frontier pistol, money, jewelry and assorted electronic games.

(10) On 7/28/07 assorted tools and the tools boxes valued at approx. $500.00 were stolen from the boat Tippe Canoe at Wanchese Marine Maintenance at Broad Creek.

(11) Breaking, Entering and Larceny from an unlocked vehicle 7/25/07 in Colington. Cell phone and sunglasses were stolen.

(12) Burglary of an unlocked residence in Waves on 7/24/07. Someone entered the residence at night and stole a suitcase with all the contents to include, Nintendo cd’s, I-pod, purse with contents, cell phone and charger.

 

 

NOTE: Recently throughout the county, several unlocked vehicles have had properly stolen from them. The Sheriff’s Office strongly suggests that vehicles be locked when left unattended.
