Is seeking your assistance in solving the following crimes:
(1) On 5/2/08 the breaking and entering on a residence was reported on Bayview Dr. in Stumpy Point. Entry into the house was through a rear window. Nothing appeared to be taken from the house. Some damage to vehicles in the yard, broken windows, is believed to have occurred at the same time.
(2) On 5/2/08 a kiteboard and associated equipment was stolen from a residence on HW 12 in Avon. The board is a silver HD was taken from under the dwelling: value of stolen equipment is $2-3,000.00.
(3) Larceny of a pool pump was reported 5/3/08 from a storage shed on Colony Ct. in Salvo. The pump was a super hyward and valued at approx. $600.00.
(4) On 4/3/08 a quantity of prescription medicine (oxycodine) was stolen from a bedroom dresser in a residence on Hwy 12 in Buxton. Entry into the house was through an unlocked door.
(5) On 4/3/08 someone entered a residence on Old Church Rd. in Wanchese and stole prescription medicine (hydrocodone) and a check for $100.00. The doors were locked with no signs of forced entry.
(6) On 4/3/08 a craftsman nail gun that was left outside was stolen from the front yard of a residence on Toler Rd. in Roanoke Island. The nail gun is a framing gun, red and black in color.
(7) Investigators are working the larceny of power tools from a residence on Ocean St. in Salvo. The tools were taken from a utility room under the house on some prior date. Stolen was a red Milwaukee saw zaw, red Milwaukee ½ inch. corded drill, black and silver portable circular saw, Black and Decker screw gun, black and silver portable belt sander, black and green Delta miter box, and a yellow open reel surf fishing rod. Information about this larceny should be reported to the Sheriff’s Office.(8) Sometime between 3/7/08 and 3/11/08 at a construction site in Manteo, Croatan Woods’s development, a locked supply trailer was entered and tools were stolen. A Stihl chainsaw, power cords and a Subaru 6100 watt generator were taken. Investigation is continuing. Any information should be reported to the Sheriff’s Office or to Crime line.
(9) Breaking, Entering and Larceny of property valued at approximately $100,000 from a residence in the Oaks, Manteo on 10/21/07 . Stolen: 4 pistols, (1) Ruger.22 magnum handgun, (1) High Standard target pistol, (1) Dan Wesson .22 revolver and (1) Colt New Frontier pistol, money, jewelry and assorted electronic games.
(10) On 7/28/07 assorted tools and the tools boxes valued at approx. $500.00 were stolen from the boat Tippe Canoe at Wanchese Marine Maintenance at Broad Creek.
(11) Breaking, Entering and Larceny from an unlocked vehicle 7/25/07 in Colington. Cell phone and sunglasses were stolen.
(12) Burglary of an unlocked residence in Waves on 7/24/07. Someone entered the residence at night and stole a suitcase with all the contents to include, Nintendo cd’s, I-pod, purse with contents, cell phone and charger.
NOTE: Recently throughout the county, several unlocked vehicles have had properly stolen from them. The Sheriff’s Office strongly suggests that vehicles be locked when left unattended.

1) House Fire: On 3/12/2008 a house fire at 1527 N. Virginia Dare Trail destroyed a multi-million dollar home, destroying all contents within. At this time, the cause of the fire is "undetermined" and it is under investigation. Kitty Hawk Police Department:
Is seeking your assistance in solving the following crimes:
(1) During January and early February 2007, the Brew Thru(s) in Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hills, were broken into and property was taken. The suspect(s) broke into the businesses sometime between 9:00 p.m. and 06:00 a.m. A significant amount of rolled coin was taken from the break-ins. Brew-Thru is offering a reward for information resulting in a conviction of the suspect(s), in addition to any Crimeline rewards typically offered.
(2) In early May 2006, the residence at 5100 Putter Lane was broken into and several items of substantial value were removed. Evidence at the scene tends to lead investigators to believe that a vehicle was used to transport the stolen items from the home. Any information or suspicious activity noted at the residence during this time would be greatly appreciated.
(3)During the time of mid-May 2006, between the 4400 and 4900 block of the Beach Road, 2 break-ins were reported. In both cases, the houses were used only for lodging overnight and the suspect moved on. No items were reported missing, only the cost to repair the items damaged during entry.
(4) In mid-January a breaking/entering and larceny was reported at the Ocean View Auto Supply (NAPA) in Kitty Hawk. Entry was made through a front glass window and money was taken from the cash register inside. This case seems to be a companion case to other break-ins reported throughout Dare County during this same timeframe in which auto part supply stores were targeted.

(1) June 7, 2007 - Breaking/Entering and Larceny from a residence in Pirates Cove. Three fishing rods and reels were taken. Estimated value is $3,000.
(2) July 18, 2007 - Larceny from a parked vehicle located at Festival Park, someone entered vehicle and took a camera and Optical equipment, value $600.

Nags Head Police Department:
Is seeking your assistance in solving the following crimes:
(1) The Nags Head Police Department is asking for information that would lead to the arrest and conviction of the subject(s) responsible for the armed robbery that occurred at the Stop Quick Convenience Store located at 2112 S. Croatan Hwy. on March 18. Around 10pm on March 18 a black male approached the clerk at the Stop Quick and threatened her with a knife. The suspect fled the area after getting an amount of money from the store. The black male is described as being approx. 5ft 8 inches tall, weighing approx 165 pounds and in his early 20's with dark complexion.
(2) On April 7, 2008 a B/E of a residence was reported in the 5300 block of S. Virginia Dare Trl. Unknown suspect(s) entered this residence by busting out a glass door and once inside they attempted to remove several pieces of electronic equipment. This incident occurred between midnight and 9am on April 7.
(3) The Nags Head Police Department is investigating a Hit and Run accident with injuries. On Friday 03/07/2008 at approximately 9:00 PM a pedestrian was struck on S. Croatan Highway in front of Kelly’s Restaurant. This pedestrian was flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with critical injuries. Pieces of the striking vehicle were recovered at the scene. A small red or white vehicle with damage to the front right passenger side area is being sought after. If you have any information about this accident, please contact Crimeline or Det. (4) December 21, 2007 a house located in the 3300 block of S. Linda Ln. was broken into. A 2007 Roketa European style motorcycle was stolen from outside the residence, the suspect(s) broke into the home and stole the keys to the motorcycle. The bike is described as a Roketa Db05 black with red decals.
(5) On Monday 01-21-08 Slammin Sammy’s was broken in to overnight, unknown suspects forcibly entered the restaurant through the rear emergency door and broke into the safe locked up in the office. The outside security camera was disabled as well as the outdoor security lights timer box. Several thousand dollars was taken from the business, there was also damage done to the building.
(6) Several residential breaking and entering incidents have occurred in South Nags Head between the 8400 and 8700 blocks. These occurred from the end of December 2007 and up to January 25 2008. The homes were entered by kicking in the doors then entry made into the residence. Items such as dvd movies and dvd players were taken.
(7) In December 2nd a B/E was reported in the 8200 Block of Old Oregon Inlet Rd. in South Nags Head. Unknown suspects forcibly entered the residence. Once inside it appears that the subjects used the residence as a place to hold a party. Empty containers of alcohol were located throughout the residence and some damage was done.
(8) Several cases of Vehicle Break-ins have been reported in the
Town of Nags Head over the last 4 weeks. Two separate groups of suspects have been identified and charged with these crimes. Property has been seized in these cases that have been identified as stolen but can not be matched to a police report. If your vehicle was entered by force, or if the doors were left unlocked, and you have not filed a report with the Nags Head Police Department please do so immediately.

Southern Shores Police Department:
Is seeking your assistance in solving the following crimes:
(1) 2007740707 – Damage to Property On 10/22/2007 the victim’s 2006 tan Chevy Malibu was parked at the hillcrest Beach access when an unknown subject(s) did minor damage causing dents and white scrape marks to same.
(2) 2007701044 – Damage to Property Sometime between the afternoon hours of 10/16/2007 and the morning hours of 10/17/2007, the victim’s 2002 Ford Thunderbird was egged by unknown suspect(s) while parked in the driveway of his home on Deer Path Lane.
(3) 2007681497 – Damage to Property Sometime between the afternoon hours of 10/10/2007 and the morning hours of 10/11/2007, unknown suspect(s) drove across the golf course at Duck Woods Country Club causing damage to the putting green, a tee box and a fairway.
(4) 2007681598 – Breaking, Entering & Larceny Sometime between the evening hours of 11/03/2007 and the morning hours of 11/05/2007, several hundred dollars worth of power and hand tools were removed from a locked storage area of a home under construction on the 200 block of Ocean Boulevard. There was no forced entry so the suspect(s) may have had knowledge of access to the storage area.
(5) 2007701106 – Breaking and Entering Sometime between the evening hours of 11/07/2007 and the morning hours of 11/08/2007, unknown suspect(s) broke into the storage area of a home under construction in the 200 block of Ocean Boulevard. This same location had been broken into previously (see above) therefore, there was nothing stored there to be taken on this occasion. This time the door to the storage area had been pried open using an unknown device.
(6) 2007740777 – Larceny from Motor Vehicle Sometime between the evening hours of 11/22/2007 and the morning hours of 11/23/2007, unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked black Jeep Cherokee at a residence in the 100 block of Duck Woods Drive and took a leather wallet from same.
(7) 2007760447 – Breaking, Entering & Larceny Sometime between 10/07/2007 and 11/09/2007 a residence on 7 th Avenue was forcibly broken into and a 50” Vizio plasma television was removed from same. A back door to the residence was pried open after unknown suspect(s) had attempted to gain entry by removing an upstairs door from its hinges.
(8) 2007760452 – Damage to Property Sometime between the evening hours of 11/09/2007 and the morning hours of 11/10/2007, the mailbox at a residence in the 100 block of Chicahauk Trail was “smashed and egged.” The suspect(s) may have been juvenile and may have been acquainted with the victim.
